GMA’s Ginger Zee Does Yoga Pose That ‘Heals Everything, Every Time’

Ginger Sea shares her favorite method for “healing” her body after a long and demanding day at work.

As ABC’s chief meteorologist, Zee also sometimes serves as a storm chaser, reporting for duty from the epicenter of some of the worst weather patterns. Traveling into the eye of the storm can not only be dangerous, but it also takes a toll on the body, as Zee learned again after spending hours in the car preparing for her coverage of Tropical Storm Debby.

The Good morning America personality seems to have found a solution to the stiffness that comes with an inactive lifestyle during long-distance travel. He proudly documents a very specific yoga pose that can be done almost anywhere, because the only requirement is a little flexibility.

In the short clip, which she shared to her Instagram grid on Wednesday, August 7, Zee can be seen lying on a white bath towel in what appears to be a hotel room living room. Casually dressed in a blue T-shirt and red shorts, the weather presenter slowly positions herself into an inverted “U” shape, commonly known as a bridge or wheel pose.

She held the pose for a few moments before straightening her body and pulling her knees toward her chest for a final stretch.

“700 miles in the car, soaked and blown around… this is the cure every time ❤️,” the 43-year-old wrote in the accompanying caption, noting that nothing can stop her from getting into her routine as she does this “as soon as I get to the hotel even when I’m exhausted 👍.” She then tagged her fellow weather presenter and ABC News producer Dan Manzo before concluding her post with two relevant hashtags: “#debby” and “#stormcoverage.”

Zee isn’t the only one who swears by using deep, slow stretches to target aches and pains or alleviate other ailments. For years, experts have recommended restorative yoga practices to people looking to achieve benefits like improved posture and flexibility, better sleep, regular bowel movements, and even weight loss with simple measures.
